Religious & Spiritual Care

Spiritual care is care that recognizes and responds to the needs of the human spirit. This includes the need for connection, emotional support, respect for values and beliefs, and the search for meaning in life and death.

Spiritual care is an essential part of resident care. It encourages meaningful ageing and supports them to be the best they can be in their circumstances.

Spiritual care helps reduce stress as a person faces dying, helping them explore what has given meaning to their lives and what will comfort them as they face their final days.
